How FinKit handles your information โ in plain language.
FinKit (the "app", "we", or "us") is a set of financial calculators for iOS and Android. It covers loans and EMI, investments, savings and retirement planning, and includes an offline currency converter. This Privacy Policy explains what the app does and does not do with information on your device.
FinKit processes everything locally on your device only. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else.
When you save a calculation, the app stores the values you entered (for example loan amount, interest rate and term) and the result in a local history, so you can review or reopen it later. This history lives in the app's private database on your device. You can delete single entries or clear the whole history at any time.
Your choices are stored locally on the device. These include theme, language, your chosen currency, pinned calculators and the exchange rates used by the converter. The converter uses built-in reference rates that you can edit. It does not fetch live rates online.
On iPhone and iPad, FinKit keeps a few counters on the device, such as the install date, number of launches and completed calculations. It uses them to decide when to ask Apple's standard App Store rating prompt to appear. The counters never leave your device. Apple shows or hides the prompt itself, and FinKit never learns what you chose.
You can share a result as text or export it as a PDF. The app creates the file in its private cache and hands it to your device's standard share sheet, so you pick where it goes (email, messaging, files, printing, and so on). FinKit only creates the file when you ask. What happens to it next is up to you.
If you tap the support option, FinKit opens your own email app with a message to contact@dowble.com already started. The subject names the app, platform and device type. Nothing is sent unless you choose to send the email yourself.
FinKit does not access your contacts, messages, call logs, location, photos, microphone, camera, bank accounts or any sign-in accounts.
| Platform | Permissions requested |
|---|---|
| Android | None. FinKit does not declare the INTERNET permission, so the Android app cannot send data
over the network. It also asks for no storage, location, contacts, camera, microphone or notification
permissions. |
| iOS | None. FinKit shows no permission prompts and does not request App Tracking Transparency. It does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA). |

Opening a store listing to rate or share FinKit, or opening your email app to send feedback, takes you to another app on your device. FinKit itself sends nothing.
Information stored by the app is used only to run its features. That means doing calculations, keeping a local history you can come back to, remembering your preferences, and creating reports you choose to export. We do not use any information for advertising, profiling, or anything else unrelated to what you see in the app.
We do not share, sell, rent, or disclose any information to anyone. FinKit has no servers, so nothing is ever sent to us or to a third party. The only data that leaves the app is a result or report that you choose to share. No serversNo adsNo analyticsNo cloud
Your history and settings stay on your device until you remove them. You can:
PDFs or messages you already shared to other apps or services are held there, not by FinKit. Uninstalling FinKit does not remove them.
All processing happens on your device. App data is kept in the operating system's private storage for the app, which other apps cannot read. Nothing is uploaded, so there is no server-side database that could be breached. You stay in control at all times.
FinKit is a general-purpose finance utility and is not aimed at children under 13. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app collects no data and has no online component, so it poses no data-collection risk to users of any age.
FinKit has no advertising networks, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs, or social login providers. It does not embed any third-party trackers. Sharing, email and printing go through your device's own system features.
Depending on where you live, privacy laws such as the GDPR or CCPA may give you certain rights. FinKit does not collect or hold any of your personal data on our side. That means there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete for you. You have full control on your own device.
We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's features change. If we do, we will change the "Effective" date above and publish the new policy at this address. By continuing to use the app after a change takes effect, you accept the updated policy.
