Privacy Policy

How 1Widget handles your information — in plain language.

App: 1Widget Platforms: Android & iOS Android app ID: san.si Reviewed Android version: 1.0.3 Effective: 1 October 2026

The short version

1. Who we are

Dowble provides 1Widget (the “app”), a utility for shortcuts and home-screen widgets. On Android, it opens system settings screens and offers flashlight, Do Not Disturb, auto-rotate, and ringer-mode controls where the operating system permits them. This policy explains information handling by 1Widget and support provided by Dowble.

Platform scope: this policy is intended for both Android and iOS. Features depend on the platform and released edition. The current verified implementation is Android version 1.0.3, app ID san.si. An iOS implementation and bundle identifier are not available in the app reviewed for this policy; Android-only capabilities below do not imply those capabilities exist on iOS. Any iOS release with additional data access, SDKs, or services must update these disclosures before distribution.

2. Information the app accesses

a. Local settings and widget choices

The Android app stores your pinned shortcut IDs, the shortcut assigned to each widget, whether the introductory permission explanation has been shown, and whether certain permission prompts have been requested. Search text and the selected category may be preserved temporarily by the operating system when the screen is recreated; the app does not upload searches or maintain a server-side search history.

b. Device state and capabilities

The app checks Android version, window size, fold state, flashlight availability, relevant permission grants, and the state of settings it controls. These checks help select supported shortcuts, adapt the layout, update widget icons, and carry out your actions. They are not sent to Dowble. Opening a system settings screen does not give 1Widget access to the personal information shown on that screen.

c. Review-prompt preferences

To avoid repeated rating requests, the app stores the first recorded launch date, launch and successful-action counts, the last review-request date, and the app build last requested for review. These values stay in private app storage, subject to operating-system backup described below. They are not analytics reports sent to Dowble.

d. Support information you choose to send

If you send a support email, Dowble receives your email address, the message, and any attachments you choose to include. The email subject identifies 1Widget, Android, and a Phone or Tablet window classification. You can review or change the message before sending; tapping Support alone does not send an email.

The reviewed Android app does not read your contacts, call logs, messages, location, photos, files, microphone recordings, camera images, clipboard contents, or notification text. It has no sign-in or user profile.

3. Permissions and why they are needed

These are the permissions in the reviewed Android release manifest. User-granted special access and notification permission are optional; refusing them limits the associated feature and does not prevent browsing settings shortcuts.

Android permission / capabilityPurpose
WRITE_SETTINGS
Modify system settings
Read and change the system auto-rotate value when you use the rotation toggle. You grant and revoke this special access in Android settings.
ACCESS_NOTIFICATION_POLICY
Do Not Disturb access
Read and change Do Not Disturb, and support restricted silent/vibrate ringer operations where permitted. This does not grant access to notification messages.
POST_NOTIFICATIONSOn Android 13+, display the flashlight's ongoing notification with an action to turn it off. The flashlight service can run if you decline notification permission.
FOREGROUND_SERVICEKeep the flashlight operation running when the app is no longer in the foreground.
FOREGROUND_SERVICE_SPECIAL_USEDeclare the flashlight foreground-service use on newer Android releases. This does not enable background recording.
san.si.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSIONAn AndroidX-generated, signature-protected permission for private dynamic broadcast receivers. It is not a user-granted permission and does not authorize access to personal content.
Optional camera-flash hardwareOnly the torch is controlled. No CAMERA permission is declared; the app does not capture photographs or video. Devices without a flash can still use other shortcuts.

The reviewed Android manifest does not declare INTERNET. This does not prevent Google Play, your operating system's backup service, or another app you open from using its own network access.

iOS: the Android permission names above do not apply to iOS. An iOS edition is governed by Apple's feature restrictions and any permission prompts actually presented by that edition. No unverified iOS permission inventory is asserted here.

4. How information is used

Local preferences and device-state checks provide shortcuts, remember widget configuration, display appropriate controls, adapt to your window, and limit review requests. Information you send to support is used to answer your request, investigate reported problems, and maintain necessary support records. Dowble does not use app preferences for advertising or sell them.

5. Data sharing and transfers

The app does not automatically send shortcut preferences, searches, or review counters to Dowble. The following user-selected or platform-managed activities can involve other parties:

No advertising SDKsNo app analytics SDKsNo Dowble preference uploads

6. Data retention and deletion

Local preferences and review-request records remain until app data is cleared or removed. Deleted widgets have their associated configuration removed when Android reports their deletion.

Support correspondence is retained only as needed to handle your request, maintain necessary support records, and meet applicable legal obligations. Contact us to request deletion of information you sent to support.

7. Security

The Android app keeps preferences in private app storage and relies on operating-system isolation and permission controls. Platform backups and external services use their own security protections. There is no Dowble-hosted database of your shortcut preferences. No software, device, or communication method can guarantee absolute security; protect your device and avoid including sensitive information in support messages.

8. Children's privacy

1Widget is a general-purpose utility and is not directed to children under 13. Dowble does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If you believe a child has sent personal information to our support mailbox, contact us so we can review and remove it as appropriate. Store, backup, and sharing services have their own age and account requirements.

9. Third-party services

The reviewed Android app uses Android/AndroidX platform libraries and Google's Play In-App Review library. It does not include advertising networks, analytics SDKs, third-party crash-reporting SDKs, or social login. The operating system or app store may independently process diagnostics under your device settings and its own policies; those are not an app-operated crash-upload service.

Google Play handles reviews under its In-App Review data-safety disclosures and Google Privacy Policy. Apple services, where applicable, follow the Apple Privacy Policy. Backup, email, browser, and share destinations process information under their respective policies.

This policy page contains no JavaScript, analytics tags, external fonts, or tracking pixels. The website host may process ordinary technical request information, such as an IP address and browser request details, to deliver and protect the page.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location, applicable privacy laws may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of personal information. Dowble does not hold a server-side copy of your app preferences; manage those on your device and in any platform backups. For personal information you have sent to support, contact us to exercise applicable rights. Requests concerning Google/Apple accounts, store reviews, backups, or another share destination should also be directed to the provider controlling that information.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app's features, platform releases, or information practices change. We will revise the effective date and publish the updated policy at this address. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek consent before introducing a new use of personal information.
